::health:&:tea::

I am definitely an avid tea drinker...I drink tea every single day...during the week I have up to 3 XL green tea's a day or sometimes chamomile. I love tea...and I'm not a coffee drinker so my tea consumption makes up for it.
I was going through the latest issue of Self last night with Julianne Hough on the cover and stumbled across a little blurb about teas that I decided to share with you. It's online on their site as well.

 6 Reasons You Should Drink Tea
From slimming your waistline to pumping up your workout, why you should brew.

Peppermint pumps up your workout...
Headed to the gym? Sniffing mint helped athletes run faster and perform more push-ups, research from Wheeling Jesuit University reveals. Consider sprinkling in fresh mint leaves for a more potent scent.

Black could be slimming...
And not just in your wardrobe. Black tea may prevent your body from absorbing fat from food, an animal study in the Journal Nutrition reports. Drink it plain; milk may inhibit the fat-fighting effect.

Chamomile calms allergies...
Flavonoids in this popular nighttime tea act like antihistamines, an animal study in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology notes. You'll need to down it daily to breathe easier.

Green is liquid sunscreen...
Green tea may help protect you against skin cancer, an animal study in The Archives if Biochemistry and Biophysics suggests. Pair your mug with daily sunblock to keep your skin well guarded.

Hibiscus brings down BP...
People who drank three 8-ounce cups of the crimson tea per day saw their systolic blood pressure drop by 7.2 points, a study in the Journal of Nutrition shows. Try Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger.

Rooibus helps your heart...
Steeping this tea may help lower LDL {bad} cholesterol, and raise HDL {good} cholesterol, research from Cape Peninsula University of Technology finds. Try Tazo African Red Bush.
